-You can now print checkbook reports for any period, even for a previous fiscal year. If you are printing for a period that is not currently stored in your General Ledger, you will be prompted for the starting balance.
Jobcost:
-You can change the status of many jobs to F without having to start over if it finds unposted data.
-The system will now disallow change orders with dates prior to your last posting date or the date specified in the company file if you are using that feature.
2/15/03 Payroll:

10/15/02 Payroll:
-The check number has been added to the Federal Certified Payroll form.
-A new “City?Monthly Utilization form has been added that shows the hours worked on a project for residents of that city. It also breaks down the new hires for the month by minority. This new report will help complete the forms required by the city of Hartford and other localities.
-The Prevailing Wage report has been updated to reflect the new company-wide maximums for prevailing wage benefit plans of 25% of total compensation. The “over 25%?flag has been removed on each employee since there is no longer a maximum benefit per employee.
Accounts Receivable:
-You can now Open the Change Order File while entering invoices.
Cash:
-You can now print the Invoices Paid by Check Number report for a range of check numbers and it will print only those with over 10 invoice paid.
WordLink:
-There is now a place for a default document name for transmittals.
8/15/02 Accounts Payable:
-TACT will now calculate the proper Use tax for City and State if you are charged the incorrect amount by the vendor.
Cash:
-The Bulk Clear option has been enhanced to process checks faster and to allow for clearing deposits separately from checks.
Jobcost:
-A new Jobcost Name List has been added showing expanded Customer, tax, Architect and any other information you chose to put in the Job Info section.
6/15/02 Payroll:
-There is a new CT State Certified Payroll form that will be required for all future State work. TACT now stores each benefit separately for printing on the State Certified Payroll form.
-Pension is now stored as a separate benefit in TACT in addition to Vacation, Sick, Holiday, Health, Life, Disability and two other benefits.
-The benefits breakdown is shown on the Jobclass and Union screens.
-There is a new State Tax Daily Liability Quarterly Report for assistance in completing the State Withholding Quarterly.
-Employee loan balances may be updated automatically when entering payables for purchases by employees.
-Social Security Numbers may be included or excluded on the State Certified Payroll Report by job instead of for all jobs.

-When using Purchase Orders, the amount and retainage will automatically be filled in when you enter the first invoice against the PO.

-Several reports that need calculation can now be printed immediately after viewing without having to recalculate.
-AIA continuation forms may now be subtotaled at any point and sections can have a heading.
-The Scheduled Value when doing units billing may now have 3 decimal places, if needed.
Equipment:
-You may now specify an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rental rate for each piece of equipment.
Purchase Orders:
-A short description may now be put on each PO to describe what the PO is for. This description is shown when browsing the PO file.
-Retainage % may now be put on Subcontractor PO’s and the retainage is then automatically calculated when entering the voucher.
4/15/02 Payroll:
-The CT State Certified Payroll report has been updated to match the latest version from the State of CT. The Trade and License information has been added.
-A new Benefits Analysis Report has been added showing the value of the credits taken on Prevailing Wage Jobs. This report can be used to reconcile the benefits given versus the credits taken when an employee is terminated or at the end of a year.
-An index by Check Date has been added to the Payroll Detail File.
-When printing a Payroll Worksheet you are automatically prompted with the next Payroll Date.
Accounts Payable:
-The Vendor Activity Report now shows the criteria chosen when printing the report (such as a single job number).
Accounts Receivable:
-An Open Invoice Statement may now be printed immediately from the Customer’s screen.
Jobcost:
-When updating a job and changing the status, the system will now prompt you as to whether you also want to change the status on the tasks.
General Ledger:
-The Check Summary for a Vendor report has been added to the Cash Disbursements Report menu allowing you to get a listing of checks paid to any vendor.
2/15/02 Payroll:
-The CT State Withholding tables have been updated for status F.
-The Direct Deposit Report and file may now be generated by check date without having to print the Weekly Summary Report.
-There is a new Quick Payroll Report for verifying hours without showing rates.
-The items in box 14 on the W2’s may now be excluded, if desired.
-There is a new Annual Wage Reconciliation Report that is helpful in matching your wage GL’s in your GL to your Payroll reports.

Inventory:
-When purging inventory activity, the system now rolls all purged activity into a single entry for each item so that the history is not lost.
12/15/01 Payroll:
-The 2002 Withholding tables and the new 2001 W2 format are included.
-The W-3 Laser form may now be printed.
-Advance Year-To-Date now occurs automatically when you do your first payroll in the new year.

10/15/01 The Labor Burden Report is now available in detail or summary format. The Weeks Worked for Unemployment Report may now be printed showing either Gross Wages or Adjusted Gross Wages. Employee History now shows all changes to benefits made through either the benefits screen or the Jobclass screen.
Late fees may be printed on the Aged Receivables Report for collection purposes. A standard list of AIA descriptions for the Schedule of Values may be created and used when setting up AIA on a job. Check number is now saved when using the Select and Verify method of Applying payments so it is there if you add more payments to the deposit.
Direct deposit checks for zero amount are now automatically cleared in the Checkbook Reconciliation.
A Free-Form Job Profitability Report has been added.
The USER 2 field has been added to the job name lists.
Comparative Income Statements can now be printed for the default 5 periods for a single division.

8/15/01 TACT now produces the complete NACHA file for direct deposit that can be sent directly to your bank via modem.

10/15/00 Vacation and other time off can now be accrued into a savings account for the employee automatically. For every dollar earned, you can set aside a percentage for the time off fund. TACT posts those accruals to a liability and expense account in your General Ledger so you always know how much you owe to employees who may leave your employ. The employees also see the value of their time off account each week on their pay stubs.
You can now use your own name for a cost field in Jobcost. In addition to Labor, Materials, Subcontract, Equipment and Other, you can put your own name on a category.
You can now name up to 4 fields for special time off such as vacation, sick time, holidays or personal time. Only the names you enter will appear on the payroll check stub.
You can now choose whether you prefer the word SALES or REVENUES on your Financial Statements.

2/15/00 Expanded job classes and data entry in Payroll. Now instead of just 4 jobclasses per employee, you can have up to 15. And you can enter up to 100 entries on one scrolling screen for each day, job and task for each employee.
More flexible payroll check stub. Now you can choose to show vacation and sick accrual and direct deposit information on the check stub, or not. You can also choose to include prevailing wage benefits in the Retirement column along with 401(k), or not.
Automatic update of apprentice %. When an apprentice crosses a 1000 hour threshold, you can choose to have the system automatically increase all job classes with the current apprentice percent by 5%.
Expanded lien waivers. You can now choose to print lien waivers automatically for a check that pays multiple jobs and have a separate lien waiver for each job and task.
New PO features. The system now shows you the last 3 purchases for each item as you are entering a new PO. You can now specify why a PO is on hold and this information will pop up when you are selecting invoices for payment.
