TactWorks first began in 1984 when Debbie Hess, the founder, wrote a system for an electrical contractor. The contractor had been looking for a system that would meet the needs of a small sub-contractor, handle his payroll, accounts payable, do his billing and track his jobcosts. The original TACT program was a far cry from what you get today but it was a start…and it was affordable for the small- to medium-sized contractor. At the time only very expensive, very complex systems were available on the market for contractors.
The success of TactWorks is due to the dedication of its owners and staff to high quality products and exceptional support. Our marketing until recently has consisted entirely of referrals from satisfied clients, accountants and bonding agents. We strive to satisfy our clients needs and spend a lot of time before the sale to make sure that TACT is the right answer for them, before they buy.
TactWorks currently has offices in Manchester, CT and Denver, CO. We provide sales, training and support from both offices.
