NEW OPTIONAL MODULES
TACTGraph provides bar, stacked bar, line and pie chart graphs of jobcost and financial data. You can see your data in almost endless combinations and then print the graphs or include them in a Word Document.
WordLink is an automatic interface to Word for invoices, purchase orders, lien waivers, AIA Change Orders, vendor and customer envelopes, letters and labels. It allows you to design your own documents or use the default ones included with the module. You can add logos, change fonts and rearrange the data as desired. You can then print from Word or fax directly if you have a fax program installed on your computer.

CT has a new withholding tax table. Filing Status A through E stay the same but F has been added for people who will file Single on their tax returns. Employees should be given the opportunity to complete a new CT-W4 in order to change their status to F.

FYI - The State of Connecticut requires that reporting of hours worked and wages paid for employees claiming unemployment must be shown based on a week that ends on Saturday. If your week does not end on Saturday, you MUST enter your payroll for each day (not the total for the week) in order to be able to have TACT print a report showing the number of hours and pay for each week ending on Saturday.

The Apprentice Ratio Law in Colorado was changed to 3 apprentices to 1 journeyman. This change was primarily the result of the efforts of the Rocky Mountain Chapters of ABC and IEC.

Sales tax on computer services in CT is reduced to 3%. It will continue to be reduced by 1% each year until there is no tax on computer services in CT.

Tax on paving, painting, wallpapering, roofing, siding and exterior sheet metal work for residential property is also being phased out in CT. The new rate is 4%.

Freight is taxable in CT. Effective July, 1993, all freight is subject to sales or use tax. It seems not everyone was aware that this change was made.
